C'est le package mysql-server qui rajouter une entré dans
/etc/logrotate.d/ pour gerer les log du serveur mysql.
Comme indiqué dans le fichier /etc/logrotate.d/mysql-server, il faut un
fichier /root/.my.cnf contenant le password root/mysql lisible par root
uniquement.

# If the root user has a password you have to create a
# /root/.my.cnf configuration file with the following
# content:
#
# [mysqladmin]
# password      = <secret>
# user          = root
#
# where "<secret>" is the password.
#
# ATTENTION: This /root/.my.cnf should be readable ONLY
#            for root !
