Pb avec le manuel

La commande "man" me donne systematiquement le resultat suivant :
        man: can't open cache '/etc/ld.so.cache'
        man: can't load library 'libdb.so.1'

Pour information, "ldd /usr/bin/man" donne :
        /usr/bin/man: can't open cache '/etc/ld.so.cache'
	       libdb.so.1 => not found
        	libc.so.5 => not found

toutes les autres commandes (que j'utilise) fonctionnent y compris "apropos" 
et j'ai :

-rwx------   1 root     root    59868 Feb 12 19:12 /lib/libdb.so.1
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root       24 Feb 12 16:30 /usr/lib/libdb.so.1 ->
/usr/lib/libdb.so.1.85.4
-rwxr-xr-x   1 root     root    59868 Jan 24  1997 /usr/lib/libdb.so.1.85.4

La bete est une version 1.3 avec un kernel 2.0.30

Quelqu'un a-t-il une idee ?
