If anything, it might hurt acceptance of Freedombox for recommending a
bad practice to users.  Deliberately suggesting an anonymity-breaking
practice could also be turned into FUD.  Now, if you wanted to suggest
something that could be used as a BitTorrent client and did take steps
to try to preserve the privacy and anonymity of users, like OneSwarm
(http://csemike.github.com/OneSwarm/), you might have something.
