Re: Contributing a new font-package

Hi Raul,

thank you for your interest in contributing fonts to Debian!

If you have your font packaged ready and need a place where you can upload it so that a Debian Developer can review it and eventually upload it into the official archive, then mentors.debian.net is the right place for you.

Please make sure that the font licenses comply to the DFSG and that the package is clean of the most obvious packaging bugs by checking the source package with the lintian tool.

Thanks!

Hello everyone,

I apologize in advance if I’m not following the proper
procedures—this is my first time both emailing a mailing list and
creating a .deb package.

I am one of the contributors to the open-source webcomic
Pepper&Carrot, created by David Revoy (https://www.peppercarrot.com/).
In order to contribute (mainly through translations), it is necessary
to install specific fonts to display the text correctly. I have
followed Debian’s guide to packaging fonts and believe I have done
it correctly.

I would like to contribute these fonts as a Debian package to simplify
the process for the webcomic’s contributors. Could someone please
provide guidance on reviewing the package and submitting it to Debian?

Thank you very much in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,

Raúl García
