Package: fonts-firacode
Version: 1.204-2
Severity: important

Within gnome-terminal (3.22.2-1) with font hinting settings as: full, RGB;
a bare equals sign is totally invisible when using firacode, either regular,
light or retina (although this is on non-"retina" displays)

I think the ligature definitions are screwed up. An email address written as
<foo@bar> displays as foo@bar=> (with the => bit a ligature, note the missing
opening < at the start of the string) too.

I haven't exhaustively tested all other ligature definitions or other symbols,
but this makes it practically unusable. This is a freshly installed stable
system.

Thanks

This is already stated in the package description:

OH! So it is. Sorry I missed that.

I guess this is quite a serious problem but it isn't fonts-firacode's
problem (and looking upstream[1] for vte at least it won't be fixed any
time soon)
