Package: fonts-dejavu
Version: 2.34-1
Severity: important
File: dejavu

Dear Maintainer,
When I upgraded my system (in particular, the dejavu fonts to 2.34), I noticed that in iceweasel, certain web pages (Screenshot of http://www.lafn.org/~keglerron/kegler.html is attached; note "offered", "Griffin", and "confirmation") display text incorrectly.

by changing display font, and by forcibly uninstalling the dejavu font packages, I concluded that the problem specifically affected the dejavu serif font.

Then I think this was the culprit/fix:

iceweasel (24.2.0esr-1) unstable; urgency=high

  [...]
  * debian/control*, debian/xulrunner.mozconfig.in: Build with the in-tree
    cairo. I think it's time to admit that there are too many issues with
    system cairo.

Thanks!
