Please don't print obscure warnings which the users will never see.

Selecting previously unselected package fonts-arphic-uming.
Unpacking fonts-arphic-uming (from .../fonts-arphic-uming_0.2.20080216.2-1_all.deb) ...
W: /usr/share/fonts/truetype/arphic/uming.ttc: not registered.

Please either 1. do the actions that need to be done to fix the warning
condition. Or, 2. send the user a mail or apt-listchanges News item, or
better yet halt the installation, asking the user what action to take.

For all the user knows, the package might not be working at all but he
would never know.

Tehse warnings are no longer outputted since the package migrated out
of defoma.
