Well, the thread that follows http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-fonts-devel/2012-December/011389.html clearly says we want this, and Vasudev pushed a lintian fix to warn about font packages not markedas "Multi-Arch: foreign" so I would say we indeed decided about doing it...but do it for jessie.
