In any case that was upstream decision. Now coming to the font part, I just wonder where fonts need to drop their fontconfig conf files. Fonts can directly drop the config files into /etc/fonts/conf.d or they can also drop it in /usr/share/fontconfig/conf.avail and symlink it. I'm not sure which will be saner approach. Pabs any suggestions from your side..?
