This is indeed a strange way to make the package "team-maintained". Would it be in the team's SVN, I would probably have gone through the package bugs and try fixing them. To Aron Xu and Zhengpeng Hou (last uploaders): would you be OK for the package to be maintained in the pkg-fonts team SVN? I can take care of svn-injecting Aoki-san's NMU but I prefer gettign a formal agreement from you guys first. Moreover, it would be good to rename the package to fit the new font packages naming policy. In any case, Aoki-san, thanks for your work.
