About the location of files: I, myself, adopted the policy of moving the files to /usr/share/fonts/fonttype/name instead of /usr/share/fonts/fonttype/fonts-<foundry>-name So, the Liberation fonts go to /usr/share/fonts/truetype/liberation It avoids cluttering /usr/share/fonts/truetype with dozens of "fonts-foo" directories, imho. I made that change to the place in "AndrewSomething" (I like your nickname..;;:-))
