Package: linux-libertine
Version: 2.6-2
Severity: normal

Hi,

Currently, it's impossible to use old-style figures (which are part of
the Linux Libertine fonts), at least from GTK+ applications such as
Inkscape.

By default, Unicode `0', `1', etc., are mapped to glyphs `zero', `one',
etc., which correspond to "normal" figures. Glyphs for old-style
figures are named `zero.taboldstyle', `one.taboldstyle', etc., as can be
seen using FontForge (other alternate glyphs are available as well,
e.g., for superscripts and subscripts).

Unfortunately, I have no idea how the various tools and libraries
involved could be made to use these alternate glyphs.

Thanks,
Ludovic.
