Re: [Pkg-fonts-devel] Bug#599059: merging Tuffy font fork errors

Hi all,

sorry for top-posting, but this way I can keep the original message below intact.

Karcsi,

there is currently no bug opened for this issue in the Debian bug tracker and I think it should stay this way, since your complaints are definitely upstream responsibility. I suggest to keep the discussion on the pkg-fonts mailing list and keep TU in the CC. If you click "Reply All" in your mail application, everything should be fine.

I was also astouned that the kursive tags were still present in the regular shape in the new release, altough I have already reported this issue back to TU back then.

Hi,
I don't want to blame anybody. I just blame myself to trust anybody.
Definitely T. U. is a precious artist on creating artwork such as font
glyphs. I tried to standardize the fonts (Regular, Bold, Italic and
Bold Italic) so that they would be more accurate and should not be so
many errors in it.
What did T. U. do? He put my glyphs into his source font files not
corrected font info entries. It means that version 1.27 contains more
glyphs with the same errors what you saw before in v. 1.1.
I don't know where to write my problems about Tuffy on Debian, because
I got your e-mail from fabian@greffrath.com. What is the e-mail
address for this bug discussion?
Bye
