Package: otf-ipaexfont
Version: 00102-2
Severity: important

Hi,

otf-ipaexfont-{mincho,gothic} provide alternatives
"ttf-japanese-{mincho,gothic}". However, otf-ipaexfont-{mincho,gothic}
is placed in /usr/share/fonts/opentype/ipaexfont/. Thus, some packages
related TeX(especially, dvips) can't search Japanese font file.

In squeeze, many Japanese users might use otf-ipaexfont and can't use
dvips correctly.

Yes, It seems correct.

I'm very sorry for this bug report.
Because I can't reproduce this bug in current squeeze.

So I'll close this bug report.

BTW,

I don't know detail well, but It cause some problem, may be. The
dvips(dvipsk-ja) see /etc/texmf.cnf. In this file, the settings are
written individually depending on the type of font, such as TrueType,
OpenType,...etc.

Again, I can't reproduce this bug in current squeeze, so there are no
problem. But if a problem occurs in future, it will be because the
placement of ttf-japanese-{mincho,gothic}.ttf is strange(some virtual
fonts are under /usr/share/opentype, not truetype)

Sincerely yours,
