Using the above package, I can confirm that this bug is fixed for all
fonts except for AlMateen and AlMohanad (not included in the package
linked above, though).

I also noticed just now that this bug is also reproducible using Gnome
Applications, like gedit, but only in circumstances unlikely to occur
in normal use, e.g., when a SHADDA is inserted near Latin characters
and not followed or preceded by an Arabic character.
