I think we'll let the NMU flow in and apply your diff to the pkg-fonts SVN. There would be few added value in a maintainer upload. I'll include the patch in SVN and tag the release appropriately...when I take time for this..:-) I actually wonder whether we have other font packages that might need such fix, indeed.
