Package: fontforge Version: 0.0.20100501-1 Severity: important The new version of fontforge has introduced a new bug where fontforge loops indefinetly while compiling fonts on some architecures. This is easily demonstrated on the s390 and sparc porterboxes with the attached font. This bug is causing lilypond to FTBFS on those architecures. You can demonstrate the failure by running: $ fontforge -script feta20.pe feta20.pfb Copyright (c) 2000-2010 by George Williams. Executable based on sources from 11:21 GMT 1-May-2010. Library based on sources from 03:43 GMT 29-Apr-2010. Internal Error: NaN value in spline creation Internal Error: NaN value in spline creation Internal Error: NaN value in spline creation [...] Internal Error: No Solution [...] which then loops endlessly. The working squeeze version does the following for the exact same input. $ fontforge -script feta20.pe feta20.pfb Copyright (c) 2000-2009 by George Williams. Executable based on sources from 23:48 GMT 23-Sep-2009. Library based on sources from 17:32 GMT 14-Sep-2009. $ Don Armstrong -- "One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them.
