Package: ttf-dejavu Version: 2.23-1 Severity: wishlist Hi, I'm using deja vu sans font on my laptop, wich has a SXGA+ (1400×1050) 14" display. This means ~125dpi, wich is nice. But at 125dpi, 12pt fonts are way too big, so I use 7 and 8pt fonts. At these sizes. it seems that some characters (especially “ and ”) aren't fully rendered. For example, at 7pt, “ and ” both look like ". It'd be nice if even at small sizes fonts were rendered perfectly :) Cheers, -- Yves-Alexis -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ttf-dejavu depends on: ii ttf-dejavu-core 2.23-1 Vera font family derivate with add ii ttf-dejavu-extra 2.23-1 Vera font family derivate with add ttf-dejavu recommends no packages. -- no debconf information

Ok, in fact using autohinting in fontconfig-config makes this really better. So I'll consider the bug closed. Thanks for you time. Regards, -- Yves-AlexisAttachment: signature.asc
