In the graphical installer the progress of a download is displayed using 
DejaVu Sans in italics as "Downloading file 999 of 999". With the first 
number counting up to the last.

During this display I see the last part of the string jumping from left to 
right slightly as numbers change, which means that not all numbers have 
the same width.
It is a basic rule in font design that numbers _do_ have the same width, 
exactly to avoid such behavior. AFAIK this is true for italic and bold 
typefaces as well as regular ones.
