The list is not with opened posting policy, which is indeed the only way to guarantee that bug reports or other admin messages will not be held for moderation. See a recent thread in -devel. So, using a list as maintainer AND having it non opened requires a very careful policy of whitelisting....which I'm unsure we have time and resources to establish. I have set this for the shadow package and another list but then the list has an opened posting policy with the drawback of some spam leaking to it. An intermediate solution is used for samba: we didn't set the list as maintainer but it is subscribed to the PTS for the package. Of course, when a team maintains many packages, that solution is less convenient. I know that you did so for the pkg-ofl-fonts team.....but this is something I mentioned to Nicolas as "not the best idea to have" when I received a message that my mail is held for moderation when reporting a bug against ttf-sil-abyssinica...:-) > If you could add the folks on the pkg-ofl-fonts project to pkg-fonts > that would be great. Then we could move the stuff in svn. This we can definitely start to work on, yes. I'm also OK, as the only admin of pkg-fonts-devel, to add admin(s) of pkg-ofl-fonts as admins of our project. Can you send me the list of subscribers for pkg-ofl-fonts ML, the list of members of the team and the list of admins? Then I'll contact these people and will request their agreement to add them to pkg-fonts-devel stuff, which is of course the first step. Also, if some ppl in either team wants to OBJECT to the merge, please do so ASAP.
