iptables, ipmasquerade, firewall and webadministration

Hello all, 

after some experience with shorewall I am giving up...

What is the best solution to maintain a router via webadministration ?

I am using WOODY 3.0 r2 with Linux 2.4.22/23 an Thomson SpeedTouch 330 
USB for the Internet Access and 5 Sub-Nets.
