Re: more networking stuff

That's what i thought at first as well, but the server's NIC can connect to my
laptop's NIC (showing me it's a crossover cable) and there is no problem at
all. I'll try going from my hub to my ethernet card, but it's a problem since
the systems are in different rooms, and the cables are in the wall. (yay for
renovation). I think it has to do with my hub, which is actually a switch.
It's a EtherCom EHB42H.
The NIC's in my server are both 3com 950's eth0 leases an ip from my router,
and eth1 has a static IP on the subnet. I'll have to go to radioshack and pick
up a crossover and a straight cable and try them both. If that still doesn't
work, i'll have to go over to more drastic means (aka hammers, and power
drills) but i'll get back here first.
Thanks

Jule
