Port forwarding + firewall

I have my firewall setup and working now.  I'm on 2.4.2 using iptables.  Everything seems good.  I've switched from 2.2.19 using ipchains.  I've been switching back and fourth.

The problem that I'm having is this:

I have this working:
x.x.x.40 eth0 port 80 <--> 10.0.0.5 port 80

I can't figure out how to get this working:
x.x.x.34 eth0:1 port 80   <-->  10.0.0.2 port 80
x.x.x.35 eth0:2 port 80   <-->  10.0.0.3 port 80
x.x.x.36 eth0:3 port 110  <-->  10.0.0.4 port 110
...

The ip aliases just dont work, but the non-aliased port works fine.
