Re: CAll for standard bastion smtp: ssmtp

Another non-freely distributable solution would be smap from TIS'
fwtk. I've been using it in a Linux (and now Debian) based firewall
for over two years very successfully. The nice thing about smap is
that it only receives and spools mail and leaves the send part to sendmail
or whatever else you might want to use. There are also several
patches for it to mitigate spam.

I noticed that the fwtk is already a Debian package, but it is several
revisions behind the current release.

http://www.tis.com/prodserv/fwtk/readme.html if you're interested.
Unfortunately the license states "you may not redistribute or otherwise
make available the FWTK to another person, organization or entity".
I still like the way smap works though - maybe there is something else
available with the same functionality.
