Hi, on Friday, December 7 2012 we'll have a small Debian Bug Squashing Party at the student's project linux network (spline) at the Freie Universität Berlin. Our goal is to find + fix all kinds of bugs in Debian, especially in the upcoming release (7.0 aka "Wheezy") while having lots of fun. Everybody is invited - especially newcomers! At the start (and if necessary also later on again) we'll have a short introduction in solving Debian Bugs. Bug squashing sounds like a challenge for programmers only, but there is ample supply of non-technical tasks, too. Maybe you can imagine: - Proofreading the Release Notes in your language of choice - Translating descriptions or help texts - Taking a screenshot of you favorite program (see screenshots.debian.net) We will find something to do for everybody. (-: The party starts on Friday, December 7th 2012 at 1pm and will go until late. We will meet in the spline room (K60) in the basement of the institute of informatics of the Freie Universität Berlin (Takustraße 9, 14195 Berlin, no entrance directly from the street). Please check OpenStreetMap for the exact location [1]. We will have some computers there, but if you have, please do bring your own Laptop. And bring some friends! Cheers and see you in Berlin, Mika [1]http://www.openstreetmap.org/?minlon=13.297477722168&minlat=52.4560737609863&maxlon=13.2974786758423&maxlat=52.4560775756836 PS: Please Circulate! --
