For sure on the security holes - but hes not worried about that. So the obvious solution is to compile from source. Although he may have to recompile it later down the track if something like glibc is upgraded with debian.

...but there will be no security updates!  It hast a list of  more  then
50 known vulnerabiities which no one will solve anymore!

"php6" is already in the startholes.
