QtEmbedded for armel

Based on Qt 4.6.3-4+squeeze1 (the current version in Debian Squeeze)
an armel rebuild is now available using the options for QtEmbedded.

Current version: 4.6.3-4+squeeze1embedded6

deb http://www.emdebian.org/qtembedded/ stable main
deb-src http://www.emdebian.org/qtembedded/ stable main

Modifications to Debian Squeeze packaging:

The build itself was done on a Debian porter box and has been tested
as operational on device, so it seemed sensible to make it available in
the hope it will be useful - builds take 16hours, so repeat builds are
not undertaken without v.good reason.

Part of the reason for offering the packages is to see if there is
sufficient interest to justify pushing these changes into the Debian
package so that a simple DEB_BUILD_OPTION can be given to do builds for
other versions of Qt from Wheezy and Sid. No promises about other
architectures, although Qt does list support for mips and powerpc as
well as ARM. (Whether Nokia mean MIPS as mips or mipsel I'll leave as
an exercise for the reader.)

Some Qt apps (NOT KDE ones) can be recompiled against libqt4-dev for
QtEmbedded but it's easier than trying to fit an X server onto an
embedded device... as long as you can organise framebuffer support for
your the device too.
