I've decided to move all architecture-independent files in /usr/lib/emdebian-tools into /usr/share/emdebian-tools/ - this is a hangover from the pbuilder example. debootstap moved the relevant files earlier, now it is time for emdebian-tools. The main package affected is emdebian-rootfs. Everything will be sorted out in the package but machine:variant packages.conf scripts may be referencing the /usr/lib/ location.
