ARM or Armel

Hi Guys, 

I guess it is a simple question. I have Emdebian Grip running on my ARM based board. I want to install gcc on it. I plan to install it from www.debian.org by installing all the dependencies (they are not many i figured). But when I install the dependencies, do i choose ARM based  or Armel based packages. I believe it should be Armel based since Emdebian Grip is armel based. Am i right? Please help.
