gcc-4.2 and gcc-4.3 powerpc on an intel lenny host

Hi,

I'm running Debian Lenny on an Intel 32 bit (in Parallels VM on OS X) 
and I can't seem to install any gcc cross compilers for powerpc 
targets.  I've tried 4.3, 4.2 and 4.1.

I can successfully install the m68k cross compilers (4.3 and 4.2).

Are gcc suite cross compilers broken for powerpc ???
If so, any idea when they would be available ???
