It isn't that simple. I need details of exactly which packages are
causing problems and the errors from apt.

The Packages.gz file is rebuilt everytime a package is updated - it's an
automatic action. If there are problems, it is not simply an out of date
Packages.gz file. (Forcing the Packages.gz file would simply make the
problems worse by removing packages that are out of sync - i.e. versions
could be downgraded.) I cannot fix this without knowing exactly which
packages are involved.
