Bug#408459: dpkg-cross fails to preconfigure

When upgrading dpkg-cross from 1.32 to 1.33 on powerpc, the preconfigure
asks to select a default architecture. When accepting the default "none",
it fails with:

no config file: /etc/dpkg-cross/cross-compile.sample at /tmp/dpkg-cross.config.254093 line 18, <STDIN> line 8.
dpkg-cross failed to preconfigure, with exit status 2

Somewhat surprisingly apt-get continues and apparently succeeds:

(Reading database ... 137606 files and directories currently installed.)
