Do you know if using SLIND is possible to make a custom debian based

Me and Oleg Romashin did that some 1.5 year ago, my N770 still runs
that. We used ion3 as a window manager and aterm as a terminal
emulator. Now I'm in a desperate hope that some day soon I'll be able
to update all those things to run with a newer slind version and add
some more applications to that. If you feel motivated enough, feel

The problem is that I don't know how to make a rootfs. I've read
http://wiki.debian.org/Emdebian_Nokia,
http://www.maemo.org/platform/docs/howtos/howto_use_flasher_rootfs.html,
and other documents, but are outdated.
Some help to start? Where to find updated documentation?
If you'd want to go with slind, there's some (short and a bit
inaccurate) documentation on slind.org on how to build a rootfs with
slind tools.
