2. emN.diff.gz or emN.emdiff.gz ?
Further testing has shown that my local modifications to the .dsc were incorrect. Emdebian .dsc files would need to specify TWO diff.gz files and if this is done, the mismatch in the version string causes dpkg-source to bail out.
Using Version: 0.7.2-1em1 Files: 5d9198768c403f243b6492651b9de438 865275 qof_0.7.2.orig.tar.gz 60d12449c1281711129a579e2a6d62cb 20829 qof_0.7.2-1.diff.gz 60d12449c1281711129a579e2a6d62cb 20829 qof_0.7.2-1em1.diff.gz gives: dpkg-source: error: unrecognised file type - `qof_0.7.2-1.diff.gz' (the em1.diff.gz line is deliberately mangled - the diff is not genuine, it's simply a copy of the debian one and would therefore fail anyway. The point is that it fails on the version string.)
My concern is this: with just qof_0.7.2-1em1.diff.gz, dpkg-source could attempt to extract qof version 0.7.2-1em1, could it not? Or would the .dsc generated prevent this?
It looks like the modified .dsc will prevent this problem. -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.data-freedom.org/ http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/ http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/
