Bug#374778: dpkg-cross: please make command-line rewriting more visible

Package: dpkg-cross
Version: 1.28
Severity: wishlist

When cross-compiling with dpkg-buildpackage, the rewriting of program
names and include paths done by gccross is not easily visible. This
makes it non-obvious that rewriting is taking place. (I had a very
long and "interesting" debugging session before I learned this.)

For example with DH_VERBOSE=1, dpkg-buildpackage will print the
original commands before rewriting, which is confusing. It would be
more interesting to see the rewritten commands.
