Package: emacs-goodies-el
Version: 33.3
Severity: normal
File: /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacs-goodies-el/highlight-completion.el

Running up

    emacs23 -q

and doing

    M-x highlight-completion-mode
    C-x C-f # ie. find-file

gets an error

    Wrong type argument: stringp, nil

A debug-on-error gives

Debugger entered--Lisp error: (wrong-type-argument stringp nil)
      expand-file-name(nil nil)
      hc-expand-file-name(nil)
      highlight-completion-setup()
      run-hooks(minibuffer-setup-hook)
      completing-read("Find file: " read-file-name-internal nil confirm-after-compl$
      read-file-name("Find file: " nil "/tmp/" confirm-after-completion)
      find-file-read-args("Find file: " confirm-after-completion)
      byte-code("\300\301\302 \"\207" [find-file-read-args "Find file: " confirm-no$
      call-interactively(find-file nil nil)

It seems `minibuffer-completion-predicate' can be nil in emacs23 whereas
perhaps it was not so emacs21 or 22. Dunno what it means, but
highlight-completion.el might have to allow for it.
