Re: Protecting user changes in developer scripts handled files

Hi,

	After a incorporating a few modifications suggested by people
 on the list, and testing most of the code paths, here is a new
 version of the script and manual page. I have only lightly tested the
 historical md5sum directory, but the code is fairly straight forward,
 and I do not anticipate any problems.

	Since it is too late to modify dpkg (freeze), I am going to
 package this script up, and make my smacsen packages depend on the
 resulting package, and start preserving user changes in emacsen
 site-start.d files.
