Bug#1008038: Debian Edu Installer freezes for a long time if tjener.intern is defined in DNS but not reachable

Package: debian-edu-install
Severity: normal
Version: 2.12.3

I just stumbled over Debian Edu installer problem with some peculiar DNS setup.

The peculiar DNS setup. I have tjener.intern defined on my local machine in /etc/hosts (and run dnsmasq locally to serve libvirt VMs. Thus, tjener.intern resolves to 10.0.2.2 here when I try to do a test installation (of a Debian Edu Standalone machine), but the 10.0.2.2 is not reachable here locally. (I use the "10.0.2.2 tjener.intern tjener" entry only when I am on a school's network).

The observation with this setup is that the Debian Edu installer tries (in debian-edu-profile script) to "wget http://tjener/debian-edu-install.dat"; and fails on this. Default timeout in wget is 900s (15min) and default retry value is 20, so the installer here hangs 900x20 seconds.

I'd suggest adding --tries 2 --timeout 2 (two connection attempts, wait for 2seconds each attempt) to the wget call in the debian-edu-profile script.
