It would be helpful to have a mode where an LTSP server (or mobile
workstation, for that matter) synchronises a configurable subset of home
directories from the master rather than mounting it. That way, a
decentral Skolelinux network could be created, with master server in one
location and LTSP servers in a remote location, and no really fast
network link between them.
At Teckdis, we experimetned with csync2 for that. It has issues of its
own, but those who would use that feature could certainly cope with it.
