Package:  debian-edu-config
Version:  1.702
Severity: wishlist

We should consider adding our own dpkg origins file, to make it clear
that Debian Edu the distribution vendor. See the thread starting in
<URL: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/popcon-developers/2013-May/thread.html#2260 >
(popcon & derivatives dated Tue May 7 13:56:51 UTC 2013), for more
information about its usefulness.

One idea would be to use these values:

% cat /etc/dpkg/origins/debian-edu
Vendor: Debian Edu
Vendor-URL: http://www.skolelinux.org/
Parent: Debian

Hi,

I'm closing this as the consensus in the bug was not to do what the bug
suggested to do. More information on why as also asked and not given…
