This is not only a policy violation but also mostly useless today, the main usecase is to install (intel|amd64)-microcode. That said, we dont even install these packages by default, so not enabling non-free (and contrib) is a no-op change. (This is also the reason for the "important" severity of this bug.) We should just make sure to document in the manual how to enable it and how to install those microcode packages… -- cheers, Holger
