RE : Cannot chdir to home directory /skole/tjener/home0 : Permission denied

Dear All
After a fresh install (tjenrer, ltsp-server and workstation) using the 4.8GB debian-edu-jessie iso on a usb,
Looking all that works, it is a fantastic piece of software with many administrative conveniences once the system is up and running . Thank you.
After applying the fixes on the wiki page namely ;
1. run debian-edu-nscd-netgroup-cache disable
2. install libnss-mdns
3. the ice-weascel script (dir/file does not exists) and
4. running debian-edu-test-install,

Searching the lists and googling,  these simple problems, such as
a. The first user Cannot  chdir to home directory /skole/tjener/home0 : Permission denied. On tjener the first user gets the two messages, permission denied and check that the workstation is in the authorised.
Correct me if am wrong, the first user or any other user added via the gosa webpage can login and access all allowed functions on the server and ltsp-hosts, which are terminals or diskless pcs.
b. cups fails
c. samba net time seg faults
d. everytime apt-get upgrade seems to want to install tons of other programs, when all it should do is update the installed programs and their deps.

Have tried the following :
a. Change permissions on the home0/first-user dir to 700, 750 and 777 among others.
Using gosa
b. Added first-user to first-user group.
c. Added diskless pc to workstations and the tried all-hosts, unable to login
d. Have reinstall fresh installs 5 times, each time the result is the same.

Please suggest solutions.

Thank you very much

Regards
tirath
