[Mike Gabriel]Hi all,Hi. Thank you for the warning!my diskless workstations (on Debian Edu wheezy + backports, TJENER is squeeze-lts) cannot launch pulseaudio when I use a latest 3.14 kernel. We are hit by this bug, reported to the Ubuntu bug tracker: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1183398 Any ideas how to solve this?Perhaps someone can provide a strace for the failing process, to allow us to know exactly what failed in the kernel? Is there a similar Debian bug report? Perhaps a tcpdump of the NFS packages involved can be illuminating?
Weird weird weird...I have just returned from the customer where I experienced the above pulseaudio startup failures.
I am not back on my test rig (same parameters for the DLW, but a wheezy TJENER). The diskless workstations on that test rig is a KVM instance with ich6 audio emulation. Pulseaudio starts up just fine.
Will investigate further... Mike -- DAS-NETZWERKTEAM mike gabriel, herweg 7, 24357 fleckeby fon: +49 (1520) 1976 148 GnuPG Key ID 0x25771B31 mail: mike.gabriel@das-netzwerkteam.de, http://das-netzwerkteam.de freeBusy: https://mail.das-netzwerkteam.de/freebusy/m.gabriel%40das-netzwerkteam.de.xfb
