I suspect this is because the d-i font reduction code, briefly
discussed on <URL: https://wiki.debian.org/DebianInstaller/GUIFonts >,
only take into accout the characters used by translations of the
"official" d-i packages when creating the fonts to use in g-i. If
there are any characters only used in debian-edu-install, they will be
missing in the reduced font.
We need to figure out exactly which character(s) is missing, and
update the installer to include them in its font.
