Package: debian-edu-config Version: SVN+r73284 Severity: minorWith a default KDE4 profile from Debian Edu I observed that media icons (USB, CDROM, ...) do not appear on the desktop or similar. What is the default expectable behaviour here. With DebianEdu's GNOME, media icons appear on the desktop. I guess, such a mechanism is really helpful to people that are still pre-conditioned for the expectation of finding drive letters on computers ;-)Greets, Mike -- DAS-NETZWERKTEAM mike gabriel, dorfstr. 27, 24245 barmissen fon: +49 (4302) 281418, fax: +49 (4302) 281419 GnuPG Key ID 0xB588399B mail: mike.gabriel@das-netzwerkteam.de, http://das-netzwerkteam.de freeBusy: https://mail.das-netzwerkteam.de/freebusy/m.gabriel%40das-netzwerkteam.de.xfbAttachment: pgp_72iiwKFXx.pgp

Hi, please re-open if the subject is wrong...! <pere> h01ger: not sure what more there is to do about #629053. <h01ger> pere, do you see those media icons? if so, close the bug :) <pere> I see the media icon described in the bug, which as far as I understand it isn't the one asked for. <pere> sunweaver: care to illuminate us? <h01ger> why do you think its not the one asked for? <pere> because it talk about individual media icons, while the usb icon show up. <pere> perhaps I misunderstand. * h01ger doesnt see anything about "individual media icons" <h01ger> only "media icons (USB, CDROM, ...) " <h01ger> which matches <h01ger> <pere> I see the media icon described in the bug <pere> it wasn't phrased like that. <h01ger> sadly it doesnt match the rest of what you said :) <pere> but perhaps I misread. <h01ger> http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=629053#5 says that <h01ger> and i believe the cause is #655197 which is fixed in wheezy too <h01ger> sadly that bug has been merged and not made a blocker * h01ger closes the bug with this irc log cheers, HolgerAttachment: signature.asc
