That's because it isn't there, I guess. This diversions has the wheezy 
version (0.0.33-3) as origin. But the code should handle the case, that 
the wheezy version has been installed before.

Yes, confirmed: still there.

Attached is a log (install d-e-a 0.0.39-1, upgrade to svn version, 
install gdm3, purge d-e-a).  If d-e-a was configured to remove 
/etc/gdm3/greeter.gsettings wouldn't that be a problem in this scenario?
