Bug#714477: killer: Is no longer able to figure out when X users last were active

Package: killer
Version: 0.90-8
Severity: important
User: debian-edu@lists.debian.org
Usertags: debian-edu

I had a closer look at killer and how it work, and for console users (ie
people with 'console', ':0' or 'tty?' listed as the 'source' in the utmp
file it will try to figure out the time since the last activity from the
user by stat-ing the devices '/dev/ps2mouse', '/dev/ps2kbd',
'/dev/mouse', '/dev/kbd' and '/dev/input/mice'. But in Wheezy, at least
when I test, neither of these devices change access times when the mouse
and keyboard is used.

This killer have no idea about the idle time of X users in Wheezy, and
is only usable for tty users.

This limit the usefullness of this package to machines without X or
where the users log in via for example ssh.
