As explained in the first link of my previous message [0],
svn co svn://svn.debian.org/svn/debian-edu/trunk/src/debian-edu-doc
would allow you to get the needed source, and
cd debian-edu-doc/documentation/debian-edu-squeeze
would place you in the appropriate directory.

Sure, but msgfmt doesn't know anything about DocBook syntax, thus the
advice to actually build the doc to check that nothing went wrong. It
currently takes less than 30s to build the HTML for all languages with a
simple “make” (that breaks with pointers in case of error), and allow
you to check that the generated HTML page looks fine.
I'll try to improve the build process in order to offer a faster build
for only one language, and maybe also build the related PDF (I'll
document README.debian-edu-squeeze-manual-translations accordingly when
those features will be available).
