Dear Release Team,I have a package update for slbackup (Debian Edu / Skolelinux Backup System) that I would love to see unblocked for transition to wheezy once it has been uploaded to unstable.
I have to apologize for not doing this any earlier, but I only found a permanent sponsor around the freeze date. Lisandro Perez Meyer since then has started coaching me very well on packaging and he has concerns uploading slbackup to unstable including so many changes. I share his concerns, nonetheless, I would love to get the open bugs of slbackup fixed for wheezy. The rest of the debdiff tackles lintian clean ups (which are not obligatory, rather nice-to-have).
Almost directly below is the changelog entry of the new version (0.0.12-4). Current version in wheezy is (0.0.12-3). Further below you find a complete debdiff that shows the full scope of modifications.
Before uploading to sid and then getting a rejection for an unblock request, I would love to get feedback from you about the parts that you accept and the parts you will not accept.
Note: I am esp. keen on getting #662914 fixed with the next upload. Also for wheezy, if possible. And honestly also actually for squeeze (so that the Debian Edu team can have the fixed version in Debian Edu 6.0.6-r1 which is overdue for release).
