It seems that poabc (from PyG3T I guess) is not packaged in Debian, so
maybe not the best solution right now.

Well, “LINGUA=da make” runs in less than 5 seconds, so that's not too
much of a blocker either ;-), and it builds the HTML file so you can
check for real how the doc will actually look like.

Not sure I understand your statement (PO files are part of the source
anyway).

> but how come the build process breaks because of an error like this?

XML DocBook syntax is picky, and tools used to generate HTML and PDF
from the XML DocBooK don't handle those errors pretty well.

> Shouldn't it just ignore it (of course the layout would suffer).

Don't know how the tool we use could be improved to handle errors (or
even if that's desirable), but I'm not sure that's something we can
improve on our own to build this specific doc (but upstream improvements
are always welcome ;-).

Anyway thanks for the hint. I've also been advised to look at the
Translate Toolkit (translate-toolkit package) and Pology [0] used by the
KDE project that looks promising too.

P.-S.: The new debian-edu-doc-da will be available in Debian soon
(waiting for ftpmaster review, shouldn't take too long), thanks for your
work! We intend to upload an updated package every Wednesday and
Saturday until Debian Edu gets released (pretty soon now, maybe in a
week or two), feel free to propose a new translation update when you
can, preferably synced with the Subversion repository:
